Josh McCleary

Josh McCleary is the Co-Founder and COO of OWNx, a fintech platform modernizing access to physical gold and silver through simple, transparent, technology-driven solutions. With 17 years in the precious metals and fintech industry, he first became interested in gold and silver during the 2008 financial crisis while working as a financial advisor. The market volatility revealed a gap in traditional portfolios that physical metals—owned directly, not through paper instruments—could uniquely fill. That experience ultimately shaped his career and the launch and growth of OWNx.

A graduate of Emporia State University, where he ran cross country and track and earned a B.S. in Business (Marketing), Josh has spent his career at the intersection of financial innovation and real-world assets. He is driven by the challenge of applying modern technology to an asset class with thousands of years of proven value, helping everyday savers build resilience and long-term financial independence.

Josh was selected for Leadership Kansas Class of 2022, recognizing emerging leaders across the state.
